The Greene Township  Zoning Hearing Board (Lee Kyler, Chairman, Emery Elbel, Vice-Chairman , Ernest Tarner, Member, Kenneth Mummert, Alternate Member, David Cleaver, Attorney) granted Penn-Mar's Ethanol's application for a height variance on 22 out of 40 buildings.  It also confirmed the Zoning Officer's (Travis Brookens) original determination that Penn-Mar's distillery is a permitted use.

Citizens for a Quality Environment and eight residents near the proposed ethanol distillery will be Appealing the decision of the Greene Township Zoning Hearing Board to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

Now would be a very good time to write your Letter to the Editor and letters to our elected officials voicing your opposition to the ethanol distillery/refinery and the way Penn-Mar has been "working" with local officials.
